What Ohio Law Allows
Recreational cultivation has been legal since voters passed Issue 2 in November 2023. Adults 21 and older may grow up to six plants each, with a 12-plant cap per household. One thing to know: since Senate Bill 56 took effect in March 2026, exceeding those limits carries criminal penalties, so count your plants. Grow in a secured, enclosed area not visible from public spaces.
- Verified Genetics: our breeder cuts trace back to the real source, not a mislabeled cutting.
- Count Your Plants: Ohio now enforces its 6-and-12 limits with criminal penalties; a clone order makes exact counts easy.
- Clean Start: every clone is HLVD-tested and pest-screened before it ships.

Timing Your Ohio Grow
Ohio runs zones 5b-6b. Plant out from early May along the river to mid-May near Lake Erie, after the last frost. Order 2-3 weeks ahead; clones ship the week after ordering.
Ohio Clone Arrival Guide
How to acclimatize your new plants to your local climate after shipping.
Read The 5-Step Acclimatization Protocol
1. The “Box Opening” Protocol
Dim the lights. Do not open the box under full-strength grow lights or direct sun. The plants have been in the dark for 24-48 hours, and sudden bright light causes stress.
2. Re-Hydrate the Root Zone
Dip the bottom of the plug in pH-balanced water (5.8-6.2 pH). You want the plug moist, not dripping wet, to help the roots recover from transit.
3. The Humidity Dome (Crucial)
Shipping stresses plants. Place clones in a tray with a humidity dome and aim for 70-75% RH inside for the first 24 hours to stabilize transpiration.
4. The “Hardening Off” Process
Slowly open vents over 3 days. If they pray (leaves pointing up) when the dome is off, they are ready for your main lights or outdoor hardening.
5. Trust But Verify
Always quarantine new arrivals for 5-7 days before introducing them to your main grow room or garden.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about buying and growing clones in Ohio.
How many plants can I grow in Ohio?
Adults 21 and older may grow up to 6 plants each, with a 12-plant household cap. Since March 2026 (Senate Bill 56), exceeding those limits carries criminal penalties, so keep exact counts. Grow in a secured, enclosed area out of public view.
What size are the clones?
Our clones arrive fully rooted and 8-12 inches tall. These are established, hardened-off plants ready to transplant into your medium of choice, not fresh cuttings.
Are these clones tested for Hop Latent Viroid (HLVD)?
Absolutely. We keep every mother plant on a strict lab-testing schedule and screen for HLVD, Russet Mites, and Spider Mites, so you receive a clean, verified start.
How do you ship clones discreetly?
We use specialized packaging that secures the root plug and protects the canopy. The boxes are plain and unmarked to ensure privacy and security throughout transit.
