The short version

I’m the guy behind Get Seeds Right Here. One nursery, one operator, sixteen years in the Colorado cannabis scene, eleven years running this brand. If a clone ships from us, I picked the genetics and I’m the one who answers if anything goes wrong.

How I got here

I grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Colorado in the summer of 2007. I was 34. About a year later, medical dispensaries started popping up all over Denver and the legal cannabis market was being built from scratch right in front of me.

Around the same time, Facebook exploded. The two collided in a weird way: the Colorado scene became visible to the rest of the world overnight, and growers from California to Amsterdam started showing up in cannabis groups online. I got pulled into that orbit and met a lot of people who were already doing serious work in cultivation.

In 2010, a friend with a big seed collection talked me into trying to sell some on Facebook. They sold fast. I rinsed and repeated for years, building a customer base, building credibility with breeders, learning how the supply chain actually worked. By 2015 I had enough of both to put my name on a real brand, build a real website, and stop running everything out of DMs. That was the launch of Get Seeds Right Here.

Why I switched to clones

By 2020, the online seed market was packed. Hundreds of vendors, half of them flipping the same drops, lots of confusion about what was real and what wasn’t. I saw an opportunity to differentiate by offering something fewer people were doing well: actual rooted, verified clones shipped to your door from a single nursery I control.

It worked. Clones grew fast enough that I eventually dropped seeds entirely to focus on what I could do best. After almost six years of doing only this, I know clones cold, sourcing, propagation, HLVd testing, packaging live plants so they show up healthy. There aren’t many operations in the country that have done it as long, this consistently, from one location.

What I actually do, day to day

I run this nursery. That means:

• I select every strain we carry, drawing on a 20-year breeder network I’ve built since the early days
• I oversee our monthly PCR testing for Hop Latent Viroid and our quarantine protocol for new genetics
• I work directly with our growers on pheno selection
• I answer customer emails, every one of them, personally. If you’ve ever gotten a reply from us with a quick video of a real mother plant, that was me on my phone in the nursery.

What I won’t do

I won’t carry genetics I haven’t verified. I won’t ship cuts from infected mothers to chase margin. I won’t pretend a third-party drop-shipper is “our nursery.” And I won’t sell you something I wouldn’t grow myself.
